What is the difference between a brush cutter and a forestry mulcher?
A rotary brush cutter knocks down brush and saplings and leaves the cut material on the ground. A forestry mulcher is a drum with carbide teeth that grinds standing trees and brush into mulch in one pass. It needs more hydraulic flow, costs more per day, and is far faster on heavy clearing.
Can I rent just the attachment?
Yes, if your machine meets the hydraulic flow and rated operating capacity requirements. If it does not, rent the package: machine and head delivered together at one price.
Do you have excavator-mounted brush cutters?
Yes. Brush cutters for mini excavators from 5,000 lb and for excavators and backhoes from 15,000 lb rent from $185/day. A mini excavator with a 42–50 inch cutter starts at $569/day; larger excavator packages are quoted on the call.
How much land can a mulcher clear in a day?
It depends on stem diameter, density and terrain, so we do not publish an acres-per-day figure. Tell us the acreage and what is growing on it and a rental specialist will match the head and carrier to the job.
Is delivery included in the rate?
No. Delivery and pickup are quoted separately based on distance from the supplying branch and the size of the machine. Most packages are delivered within 24–48 hours of booking.
Do I need insurance to rent?
Yes. Bring a certificate of insurance (COI) naming DOZR, or add DOZR Rental Protection. Either can be arranged within 24 hours of booking.
Refund Policy
DOZR offers refunds within 24 hours if the equipment does not meet the specifications that were transacted on. Equipment rented on DOZR can be returned at any time by emailing equipment@dozr.com, and no further rental charges will be charged after the equipment is off-rented.
