How much does it cost to rent a generator?

What size generator do I need?
Add up the running watts of everything that will run at the same time, then add the starting load of the largest motor or compressor — that surge usually sets the size. As a rule of thumb, size the generator so your continuous load sits at roughly 70–80% of its prime rating. Tell us what you are powering and a rental specialist will size it on the call.
Diesel or natural gas?
Diesel is the default for temporary jobsite power: self-contained and refuelled on site. Natural gas prime units make sense where a gas line is available and the unit will run for weeks or months, because you skip fuel deliveries. The rate card lists natural gas prime units at 70 kW and 120 kW; availability near your site is confirmed on the call.
Is delivery included in the rate?
No. Delivery and pickup are quoted separately based on distance from the supplying branch and the size of the unit. Most units are delivered within 24–48 hours of booking.
Does the rental include fuel?
The fuel policy and any refuel-on-return charge are confirmed on the call and itemized on your quote before you commit.
What about cables and distribution?
Cam-lock cable, distribution panels, spider boxes and transformers are rented as add-ons. Tell us your connection points and we will quote the full set with the generator.
Can I rent a generator for a month or longer?
Yes. Monthly rates are the best value — a 40–69 kW unit is $296/day or $2,670/month. Multi-month rentals are quoted on the call.
Do I need insurance to rent?
Yes. Bring a certificate of insurance (COI) naming DOZR, or add DOZR Rental Protection. Either can be arranged within 24 hours of booking.
Refund Policy
DOZR offers refunds within 24 hours if the equipment does not meet the specifications that were transacted on. Equipment rented on DOZR can be returned at any time by emailing equipment@dozr.com, and no further rental charges will be charged after the equipment is off-rented.
